Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Ramadan 2027 dates, prayer time calculations, notification reliability, and our strict privacy architecture.
When is Ramadan 2027?
Ramadan 2027 (1448 AH) is projected to begin on the evening of February 7, 2027, with the first day of fasting on February 8, 2027. Eid al-Fitr is projected for March 9, 2027, based on astronomical calculations and regional moonsighting anchors in Falah's own Hijri calendar engine.
What time is suhoor and iftar?
Suhoor (the pre-dawn meal before fasting) ends at Imsak / Fajr time, and Iftar (breaking the fast) occurs at Maghrib (sunset). Specific times vary by exact latitude and longitude. Use Falah to get live, precise countdowns on your device.
How are prayer times calculated in Falah?
Falah calculates prayer times using high-precision astronomical algorithms directly on your device based on standard calculation authorities including Muslim World League (MWL), ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Diyanet, Kemenag, and Egypt Survey.
What is the difference between Hanafi and Standard Asr prayer calculations?
The Standard method (used by Shafi'i, Maliki, and Hanbali schools) calculates Asr when an object's shadow equals its length. The Hanafi method calculates Asr when the shadow length equals twice the object's length.
Does Falah sell my data?
No. Falah never sells, shares, or monetizes user location data, personal information, or prayer habits. Prayer times and Qibla direction are computed 100% locally on your device. Optional features (such as searching nearby mosques or looking up a city) query OpenStreetMap only when explicitly requested, and never with any personal identity attached.
Is Falah free of advertisements?
Yes. Falah is 100% ad-free. There are no banner ads, popups, or tracking SDKs next to your prayer times, Quran reading, or Qibla direction.
How do I ensure prayer time adhan notifications work reliably on iOS?
Ensure Notifications are enabled for Falah in iOS Settings. Falah automatically reschedules upcoming Adhan notifications every time you launch the app to prevent background notification drops.
